How Do I Turn off Macros?

Excel macros can be ideal because they can automate common, repetitive tasks. However, you may want to turn them off. To do this, click on File à Options à Trust Centre à Trust Centre Settings. You can then click on Macro Settings, and choose to disable your macros. It works similarly if you want to disable macros in Word too: click Office à Word Options à OK, and then manually remove the macros you don’t want. Please note, you should not enable macros in any documents you receive by email, as these can be used to run and install malicious software, which could cause your PC to be infected with a virus.
